Hi, I’m Rachel Maytum, an artist exploring the expressive world of abstract realism acrylic painting. My artistic journey has evolved over time, and while I once focused on detailed pastel portraits, I’ve found a new passion for the freedom and movement of acrylics.

With acrylics, I embrace looser brushstrokes, rich textures, and bold compositions, allowing intuition to guide my work. Abstract realism gives me the best of both worlds—capturing recognizable forms while incorporating expressive, dynamic elements. Each painting is a journey of layering, experimenting, and refining until it feels just right.

Beyond creating art, I’m also passionate about the business side of being an artist—building a website, running an online shop, and navigating social media to connect with fellow art lovers. Through Rachel Maytum Art, I hope to inspire, educate, and share my journey with others who love both realism and abstract expression.
